Sustainable User Experience - Designing for Tomorrow's Planet
No field has remained untouched by the increasing ubiquity of the sustainability issue looming over the world. As designers of experiences, UX Designers play a fundamental role in the discourse of improving the world’s circumstances.
This Master thesis aimed at discovering the many ways a designer can contribute in designing a better future for the present and coming generations. Technical as well as abstract concepts have been explored in relation to impact and effect on the environment as a whole and on users themselves.
Methodologies and practices were demonstrated through the development of an exemplary prototype that helped in visualizing described concepts. In conclusion to the project a critical commentary was offered to emphasize some of the arguments presented throughout the document.
